It’s here! Samsung unveiled its flagship series — Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note Ultra — at the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event on Wednesday 5 August 2020. Let’s dive right into the specs.
Galaxy Note 20 series: Here’s what you need to know
Galaxy Note 20 design: As beautiful as it is powerful
The series consists of the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. It features Corning Gorilla Glass and delivers the absolute best in power and productivity. In fact, it has the fastest processor in the entire Galaxy series.
According to Samsung, “both models are crafted for sophistication that’s incredibly comfortable in your hand”. The Galaxy Note 20 has a 6.7-inch display while the Galaxy Note Ultra sports a 6.9-inch display.
What’s more, it has an all-day intelligent battery that will provide enough power to keep you going. However, if you are running low on battery juice, you’d be able to boost it to 28% in under 30 minutes.
With an ultrafast 120 Hz screen, the Note 20 Ultra will save even more battery than what the S20 Ultra is capable of. Furthermore, the Note 20 series has “whisper-thin bezels” to free up extra screen space.
About that screen… The high screen refresh rate ensures for liquid-smooth scrolling and game play.
My favourite part of a phone, without a doubt, is the camera setup. The Note 20 series sports one lens in the front and three in the back: Ultra-Wide, Wide and a Telephoto Lens. In addition, the setup has superb low-light capabilities.
The Galaxy Note 20 also has a 3x Hybrid Optic Zoom and 30x Super-Resolution Zoom, with the Note 20 Ultra has 5x Optical Zoom and 50x Super Resolution Zoom.
The rear camera setup on the Note 20 sports 64MP, 12MP and 12MP lenses, while the Note 20 Ultra has a 108MP lens, two 12MP lenses and Depth Vision.
As for video, the Note 20 series still has the highest-resolution video recording available in any smartphone currently on the market. According to Samsung:
8K video gives you crisp footage with incredible detail, and pro-grade controls give you real-time creative power so you can edit in-camera. Shoot super smooth action in 120fps, or isolate voices with a Bluetooth microphone. Then add finishing touches by editing your videos right on your phone.
